You come with a team and we help complete it.  Our program partners are awesome by providing 50 total hours of free legal and accounting services to each of our participants.

Startup Education

We joke that we provide a mini-MBA, but it’s not far from the truth.  We offer a top notch startup curriculum blending today’s best business model development methods, customer acquisition strategies, project management principles and product development practices.

One-on-One Weekly Advising

Our program director, JB Woodruff, brings his technology, design and entrepreneurial experience to each company; effectively becoming a part of your team.  Through one-on-one, weekly meetings he helps you hurdle your most challenging road blocks.

FAQs

What are the dates of the Program?

UpTech is a 6 month program that runs annually from September to March.

What is a 5+1 Month Program?

Our program is broken down into phases 1. Refine, 2. Validate, 3. Build, 4. Promote, 5. Pitch, 6. Fund.  These 6 areas roughly correlate to the 6 months of our program; however, as with most things entrepreneurial, things are fluid.  Now to answer the question, why 5+1?  For the first 5 months we’re tearing apart the business model, delving deep into the market, creating the best possible product and craft awesome investor pitches.  Then Demo Day.  The +1 month is primarily to ensure there is no post-program ‘cliff effect.’  Additionally, it’s a time to focus on additional customer development and fundraising.  Programatic things lighten up dramatically during the +1.

Do I need to be on-site to take part in the program?

Yes, to get the most out of the program we require that all participants work on-site at our location in Covington, KY during the 6 month duration of the program.
